Financial Assistance

Our goal

At STIS, we value providing accessible quality education in an Islamic environment.  For many facing financial or personal difficulty, a public school setting would be adverse to their development–both academically and spiritually.  As a result, we offer financial aid scholarships to students who demonstrate a desire to attend STIS and succeed.

Who Qualifies

  • Orphans
  • Refugees
  • Families who demonstrate financial need

Zakat

Any family that is eligible for zakat will have to sign a form and authorize STIS board to accept zakat on their behalf and utilize it for whatever purpose it deems appropriate including but not excluded to school fees

Required paperwork

In order to better assist in the providing financial aid for our families in need, STIS will need a completed application and necessary supporting documentation as mentioned below : 

  • Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
  • Copies of your last 3 years of tax returns. Use the following website to inquire about this   https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
  • Copies of both your current and last year’s W-2 forms for both you and your spouse.
  • Copies of your last 6 months bank statements for you and your spouse.
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.

All supporting documentation can be uploaded in pdf format online and emailed to stislamicschool@gmail.com
